Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC)

Description: Full time position available for a Certified Athletic Trainer at Panhandle Orthopaedics. Panhandle Orthopaedics specializes in both surgical and non-surgical treatment of chronic and acute musculoskeletal conditions. Applicant must be able to work independently in a fast-paced orthopaedic clinical setting. We are looking for a highly motivated and self-driven individual ready to take initiative to exceed the standard of patient care.

Pay/Compensation
$37,305 - $50,000 per year

Experience
Experience preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical services within the scope of practice with the overseeing physician to provide exceptional patient care.
- Examination of the patient, clinical assessment, obtain HPI, vitals, and patient information at each appointment.
- Perform pre/post-op appointments, brace fittings, splint application, suture removal, wound care, patient education, therapeutic exercises, etc.
- Documentation and inputting orders within a timely manner into electronic medical records system.
- Prepping and assisting in procedures and injections.
- Communication and correspondence with patients to advise on any questions they may have in regards to treatment, medications, etc.
- Clinic supply ordering/DME ordering.
- Review test results, STAT referrals and fracture reviews.
- Clean and prepare exam rooms prior to each appointment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree (required) / Master's Degree
- Graduated from CAATE accredited Athletic Training Program (required)
- National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA) BOC certification (required)
- Licensed Athletic Trainer in the state of Florida (required)
- CPR certification (required)
- Travel is Required to 3 office Locations (further details upon interview)
