Licensed Physical Therapist

Hours: Full Time position for our Crestview location. Facility is open 8am to 5pm, M-F with a one hour lunch break, No weekend hours. No On-Call hours.

We are looking for a great PT. Knowledge of overload principle and strength and conditioning principles a must, and Manual therapy skills a must. This clinic has a strong Regionally interdependent and problem solving model, seeking to get to and correct the SOURCE of the problem, not simply the body region that is symptomatic.

 

Physical Therapist Job Duties:

  • Contributes to practice effectiveness by identifying patient care issues; providing information and commentary; recommending options and courses of action; implementing physical therapy directives.
  • Assesses patient health by interviewing patients; performing physical examinations; obtaining, updating, and studying therapy histories.
  • Assesses abnormal conditions by reviewing Doctor's interpretations of patient evaluations and test results.
  • Documents patient care services by charting in patient and department records.
  • Performs therapeutic procedures by administering manual exercises; instructing, encouraging, and assisting patients in performing physical activities, such as non-manual exercises, ambulatory functional activities, and daily-living activities; and in using supportive devices, such as crutches, canes, and prostheses.
  • Instructs and counsels patients by describing therapeutic regimens; giving normal growth and development information; promoting wellness and health maintenance.
  • Provides continuity of care by developing and implementing patient management plans.
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations; adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
  • Maintains production objectives by noting current treatment trends; monitoring actual physical therapy services rendered to production objectives.
  • Maintains legal and accreditation compliance by adhering to policy positions concerning federal, state, and local regulations, and jacho standards; anticipating emerging issues.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
  • Enhances physical therapy and hospital reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years PT experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting
  • Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Program
  • Current and unrestricted PT licensure
  • Current CPR certification
  • Good organizational and communication skills Must have the ability to multi-task, and type efficiently for EHR documentation.
  • Self motivated PT who enjoys continual learning, and is internally driven to provide the best care, and customer service.
  • Additional certifications demonstrating initiative to progress knowledge beyond licensure level, a plus. Examples include, but are not limited to: OCS, SCS, COMT.

This orthopaedic surgeon wants his patients to be able to avoid surgery whenever possible, and is a strong advocate of therapy services, having seen the results that therapy can produce! This opportunity is for a full time Physical Therapist to work in the Crestview, FL branch.

 

Expect to treat and document approximately 10 quality patient visits per day. Exceptional working conditions, with a Functional Strength focused PTA on staff, and a PT Aide on staff.
